Whitehouse ISD is a popular school district that is located just south of Tyler. The district covers the city of Whitehouse along with some parts of south Tyler. Southern Smith County is covered by the Bullard Independent School District. Bullard is located about 10 miles from South Tyler. The school district serves nearly 3000 students across their 6 campuses. They have a variety of educational and athletic opportunities.
